To that end, we focus our efforts first and foremost on the betterment of our local communities by targeting our philanthropic endeavors on the needs and concerns of their citizens.
Through “Kiehl’s Gives,” we take a grassroots approach to help local teams focus on three key causes in their communities: AIDS research and advocacy, the environment, and children’s issues. To date, we have partnered with over 50 charities worldwide.
With deep roots in the East Village, Kiehl's has been a long-time advocate in the fight to end HIV/AIDS, a disease that devastated this community in the 1980s and 1990s.
By raising awareness and funds, we aim to make a significant impact on the number of HIV/AIDS cases contracted throughout the world.
In 2014, Kiehl's partnered with Grammy Award-winning artist and philanthropist Alicia Keys and Keep a Child Alive to bring dignified treatment, care and support to children and families affected by HIV. Kiehl's sold a Limited Edition Midnight Recovery Concentrate, ultimately donating $200,000 to the organization.
Kiehlis has long held an impassioned commitment to respecting and raising awareness for our oceans, parks and outdoor spaces—from a recycling program that dates back to the 1970s to ongoing conservation and fundraising initiatives in service of local communities.
Future Made Better is our sustainability commitment to responsible product formulation and sourcing, minimized manufacturing waste, and eco-conscious retail design. We also have ways to help customers do their part, including our Recycle & Be Rewarded program.
We proudly include every member of the family in our formulation offerings: moms, dads, babies and even dogs. We celebrate families who live and work in our local communities, and to this day you can find their photographs on our Baby Wall—some dating back 40 years!

In partnership with actor Matthew McConaughey to benefit Autism Speaks, a global leader in autism advocacy, Kiehl's released a Limited Edition Ultra Facial Cream, one of our most beloved formulas. Kiehl's donated $200,000 to Autism Speaks to support efforts to provide resources to children and families affected by the disorder.
